During his six years with the department he received numerous commendation letters. He was picked to train new officers by becoming a field training officer. He was also selected to be on the DeKalb County S.W.A.T team. In July of 2006, he made a career change. He joined the newly established Sandy Springs Police Department. Since joining the new department, he has conducted S.W.A.T training instruction, including compiling training data, writing lesson plans, developing training scenarios, and ensuring national training standards are met for a team of thirty (30) operators from four different Police Departments. In 2010, he formed the Sandy Springs Police Explorer Post 59. Recruiting and mentoring young adults ages 14-20. The Law Enforcement Explorers Association of Georgia honored Cory as Explorer Advisor of the Year. In 2011, he became a narcotics detective in the Special Investigation Unit. He has worked undercover, dealing with informants as well as conducted surveillance and the arrest and prosecution of narcotic offenders. The Special Investigations Unit (Narcotics) unit received the Chiefs Unit Citation for outstanding work in special investigations during his tenure. |

| | Following a corporate career in hospitality for over two decades, Tina earned her Georgia real
estate license in 2006, her Georgia Broker license in 2009, and her Georgia Instructor license
in 2017. While holding leadership positions for over 15 years, with large and small brokerage
firms, she has reviewed 10,000s of contract documents for State and Brokerage compliance, as
well as risk management, conflict resolution and agent guidance, and enjoys turning everyday
challenges into teaching moments.
Currently licensed as a Broker in Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina, Tina holds the
position of Managing Broker for an independent firm in metro-Atlanta, while also managing
her own real estate firm and her own real estate school based in central Georgia.
Tina has served the industry through training and coaching since 2008; not only new agents,
but also new Brokers through startup and initial growth phases of their offices. She has been
active through the REALTOR® Association, including service on multiple local boards’
Executive Committees, and at the State level as a Director and on the Professional Standards
Committee, and garnered her local Association’s Realtor of the Year Award, and President’s
Award, in 2016. She regularly attends real estate conferences and meetings to pursue
additional knowledge, holds several Realtor® designations (ABR, CRB, SFR, ePro and GRI),
and is passionate about sharing what she has learned, to encourage growth in others. |

| | TOM GILLETT, REALTOR® Emeritus, has been a mainstay in real estate and appraisal training and education for over twenty years. Having worked as a salesperson, broker, and appraiser for over 40 years in 5 decades, Tom has harnessed that experience and now focuses his efforts in education. Tom is President of The Tom Gillette Company, Inc, and oversees its subsidiaries, the Institute of Real Estate Training and Gillette Real Estate Education.
Currently, Tom makes over 200 presentations per year in varied real estate subjects and has authored for companies such as Applied Measurement Professionals, The Psychology Corporation, Thomson-Computaught, Cengage Publishing, Thomson South-Western, the Georgia Real Estate Commission, and pens ongoing articles for REALTOR® Online Magazine. Tom has authored the real estate career manual “Breakaway To Success” and with Charles Jacobus, co-authored the textbook “Georgia Real Estate: An Introduction To The Profession.” His commitment to education has been recognized by the Georgia Association of REALTORS® as he has three times (2003, 2012, and 2013) been the recipient of the Georgia Instructor of the Year award. Additionally, Tom was honored to receive the Distinguished Career award from the Georgia Real Estate Educators Association and named Captain of Industry by his local Board of REALTORS®. |

committees. She currently serves as a director for Savannah Area REALTORS®,

She was awarded the national Real Estate Educators Association (REEA) 2023 Educator of the Year and the Georgia Real Estate Educators Association (GREEA) 2022 Educator of the Year. Her passion is teaching and helping others become successful in the real estate industry. Going Green: How it Makes $ense! was her first course to develop and teach, then she attended the inaugural class for instructors for NAR’s GREEN designation course. She has worked with Dearborn Education to proof online real estate courses for other states. Vickie moved to Georgia in 2007 and began teaching for the Georgia Association of REALTORS®. She has written several courses for real estate schools in Georgia as well as written and taught courses for other REALTOR® boards.
Code of Ethics, License Law, and Federal Fair Housing are her favorite subjects. They all weave the same story, compliance! Compliance is an integral part for staying in business. Your license gives you the right to sell anything and everything in the great State of Georgia, but doing one thing well makes the difference in average and exceptional!
